Aerial survey
Aerial survey is one of the most effective method for producing up-to-date and detailed spatial data.
AAC provides services for the implementation of such types of aerial survey as:
- Aerial photography (RGB, PAN, NIR)
- Airborne laser-scanning
- Thermal and other types of multispectral survey
Aerial photography
The aerial photography complex operated by the AAC allows to obtain aerial photo with a spatial resolution (GSD) of 2 cm. Camera type, spatial resolution and spectral range (R,G,B,NIR) and processing technology are always adopted to the customer's needs. The final product is a RAW image or image with a geographical reference (orthoimage) and could help in any process of photo interpretation.
Airborne laser-scanning
It allows to perform spatial measurements by registering the reflection of laser impulse. This method allows to get information about the structure and three-dimensional position of the displayed objects. The resulting point cloud can have different densities (from a few units to several tens of points per sq. m). Each point is adjusted according to the system of geodetic coordinates and then classified according to the client's needs. The final product can be a point cloud, DTM, DSM, 3D model or visualization. Laser scanning allows to obtain information about the size and shape of the object or to model the surface under the treetops.
Multispectral survey
Multispectral survey allows to simultaneously capture multiple images of the same area in different electromagnetic ranges, which are widely used in areas such as agriculture and forestry, environmental research and control of infrastructure.
Multispectral surveying allows to determine the quality of vegetation on the surface of the earth and is the main tool for agriculture as an effective way to increase yields, improve the quality of agricultural products, reduce costs and recoup your investment in the near future.
The thermal imaging that obtained by shooting in the infrared range of objects and utilities allows:
- Determine / clarify the position of heating networks
- Promptly obtain information on the state of heating networks
- Obtain information about the unauthorized use of heating networks
- Obtain data for accounting (inventory) of heating networks, certification, updating of executive documentation
- Optimize work planning for current maintenance and repair of heating networks.
Features (advantages) of types of aerial survey
Each of the types of aerial survey has its advantages depending on the goals and objectives:
Aerial photography in comparison with geodetic(land-based) surveying provides:
- low cost (in areas exceeding 10 sq. km.);
- high efficiency of the work;
- high automation, minimal dependence on the human factor;
- access from air to hard-to-reach regions (swamps, sands, etc.).
In addition, compared to satellite imagery,aerial photography provides:
- better spatial resolution (5-40 cm);
- low cost (in the case of resolution less than 1 m).
Airborne laser-scanning in comparison with aerial photography provides:
- high accuracy of measurements of altitude coordinates of terrain objects
- high automation of the DTM creation process
- independence on illumination (allows to work at night)
- allows to scan wires and small hanging structures, completely inaccessible to classical methods in 3D
- allows to get information about the area with dense vegetation.
Multispectral survey allows to obtain simultaneously multiple images of the same area in different electromagnetic ranges. Combinations of these images allow to identify processes and phenomena that are difficult or impossible to identify by the image in the visible range.
